Three Named as Finalists for Young Athlete of the Year Prize
Announced recently
English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be aired from 7 PM GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
